I love to enter churches ponder life and light a candle although I do not see myself as particularly religious. But it is not as pleasurable in Italy now they are leaning towards electric candles 😦 xp
Ingy.
Yeah, electric candles leave something to be desired…like warmth, movement, luminescence….but it saves the frescoes from smoke damage. xxo.
We are the lucky ones Toni! I can feel the love…..
>3
That was suppose to be a heart symbol…
Lovely!
Thanks Bev! Friends are the best thing in life. t
Your post comes at a time when I was just thinking recently that although you are in Italy, because of Facebook, your blog, etc., it doesn’t feel like you are that far away. I miss your company but feel like you are nearby. Keep blogging, girl!
Carol, It’s really quite amazing how much the world has changed. We can stay connected with friends and family from far away…but “aint nothing like the real thing, baby.” Miss your smiling face too. xxoo.t
I light candles often these days. For no real reason, or so I thought. Thank you for shining a light dear Toni. I sense yours is burning brighter by the day! 😉 Almeno spero che sia cosi’ xox
xxo. t
Toni,
Even though we haven’t “met” I appreciate this thought very very much. Whenever I travel I light candles every opportunity – mostly as a remembrance of my parents, but also to shed a little light remembering that we can share our light without diminishing it. Thanks for sharing yours!
Light to you,
V.
Hi V,
Thank you for the lovely note. The lighting of candles can mean many things to many people, but the gesture is always beautiful. t
What an utterly lovely thing to do…
Bless you, you spreader of joy and above all Fun!
P.S. just returned from Italy so sorry to be late with catching up with this email
