Thanks for letting me relive some wonderful memories of my childhood. I was born in Bolsena so close to Orvieto you can practically hike to the Lake. Beautiful Etruscan territory filled with art and history. I hope you get a chance to visit it and blow a kiss across the waters to my beloved hometown.
Enjoy the rest of your adventure. Mara Ferrata-Trumbo
Hi Mara! Bolsena is actually featured soon on ’31 Days’. Yes, I’ve been there many times. Actually, you CAN walk from Bolsena. I know this because I did it! The Marcia della Fede: I wrote about it for Italian Notebook. http://www.italiannotebook.com/events/march-faith-bolsena-orvieto/. When people visit and ask me where they should go for a day trip…I don’t hesitate, ‘You HAVE to go to Lake Bolsena’. It’s amazing. Thanks for writing and I will send a kiss for you the next time I am at the lake. hugs. toni
Awesome job Toni
Janettttttttt. How are you guys? I can’t believe how grown-up our g-kids are! Makes me feel sooooo old. Thanks for stopping by the blog for the 31 day project. The further along we go the cooler the stuff gets! Stay tuned. Hugs to you, Don, Diana! xxo
