I can’t believe it’s been 31 days already! Time flies when you’re having fun! What a wonderful experience it’s been to sit down everyday and write about the people, places and things that make this city so special and unique. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who inspired, participated or supported me in sharing a little bit of Orvieto with the world, day-by-day. In 2013, I wrote an article for BrowsingItaly entitled, “Insiders Guide to Orvieto”, and I thought it might be a good way to wrap things up. Remember, August may be over, but you know me….I’ll never, ever stop shouting it from the terracotta rooftops…Orvieto, Italy Rocks! Like! Share! Visit!

Grazie mille!!! I feel like I can’t have enough of Orvieto… I’ll follow your links, read more, and pray I will be there soon, though I don’t know who I should send my prayers to. Is there a patron saint of Orvieto? An angel of travels? A fairy of money?!! I’ll do my best to go have that glass / cup with you one day! 😉
Line
Hi Line! The patron saint of Orvieto is San Giuseppe (St. Joseph), who is also the patron saint…people in doubt, cabinetmakers, carpenters, confectioners, craftsmen, dying people, engineers, families, fathers, happy death, holy death, house hunters, laborers, pioneers, protector of the Church, social justice, travellers, Universal Church, Vatican II, workers, working people…Pick one and go with it! LOL hugs. toni
Great job, Toni! Orvieto is wonderful! Looking forward to returning to Umbria in a few weeks.
Hey Victoria! Thanks for your support. What are your dates again? I’ll be in Forli the 17th throught the 23. I hope I don’t miss you! Hugs. t
Toni, Thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful village with those of us who can only dream of living in such a wonderful place. I have visited Orvieto in the past on a day trip from Rome, but sadly, we were only allowed 45 minutes to tour!!! I was so disappointed and even more so now seeing what I actually missed. You have inspired me to revisit on my next trip to Italy and spend much more time. Goal accomplished!!
Barbara
Barbara! 45 minutes! That’s not NEARLY enough time, but I can’t tell you how happy I am to hear that you were inspired (you feel into my evil trap) to visit. When you have made your plans to return, be sure to let me know. Hugs and thanks so much for sticking with me this month! Hugs.
